This year in lieu of our traditional research symposium we're looking to showcase our impressive range of research and innovation at BHS in a digital setting. In a shift away from previous formats we’re offering the chance for all projects along the research and innovation continuum to be presented. We are looking forward to sharing with you the significant impact that our research and innovation has on the organisation and our community.
Join us in a series of events whereby staff will be presenting their research or quality improvement/innovation projects in a variety of virtual settings.
There is also a suite of educational workshops and webinars available on topics such as: consumer engagement, statistics 101, improvement science, leadership and negotiation, team building and journal editing.

The Co-design Living Lab Model as a conduit for engagement, innovation and translation in research
Victoria is trained in applied ethics, mixed-methods and qualitative research, and particpatory design. She is the lead of the Integrated Mental Health Research Program and the Co-Design Living Lab (an embedded lived-experience model for research design to translation working with over 2000 people who have accessed services for mental health and live with physical health conditions).
She has been involved in a number of clinical trials that have involved service navigation, care coordination and care navigation models to improve mental health. This includes being the lead investigator for the Assertive Cardiac Care Trial (ACCT) which is a nurse and GP collaborative model of assertive care to improve heart health with people who live with severe mental illness in the primary care setting. The intervention for ACCT has been co-produced with people from the Co-Design Living Lab.
Victoria worked in the disability and community development sectors and as a domestic violence case manager prior to completing her PhD in 2007. She has worked in health research for 15 years, and has completed over 25 research projects in mental health, primary care, experience based co-design, qualitative research and randomised controlled clinical trials. Victoria has published widely on co-design, mental health and primary care.
