Tour de Cure

Thursday 11 March 2021

Since 2007, Tour de Cure has raised important funds to support the research into finding a cure for cancer. It is now a national movement of supporters, enabling the Tour de Cure community to fund over 500 cancer projects.

Cyclists of all levels of skill and fitness completed a three-day tour across Victorian countryside, raising over $480,000 for cancer research in Victoria.

Simone Noelker from BRICC Wellness Centre attended their event last week when the tour rode through Ballarat, with the centre being the lucky recipient of $10,000.

With thanks to the Tour de Cure grant, the Centre is able to engage the services of a financial planner to meet with the patients to offer them free financial advice and help them navigate through the maze of options available. In a time when patients have very little control, the Wellness Centre is trying to give some back, to help reduce anxiety and let them focus on their treatment and recovery.

A huge thanks to Tour de Cure, a national movement of thousands of people that raise awareness and support of the fight to cure cancer.
