The 2023 theme is ‘If Everyone Did’, as per the Volunteering Australia website. This statement refers to the fact that if everyone volunteered, the world would be a better place. There would be limitless possibilities for sustainable development, food and education for everyone, clean environment and good health, inclusive and peaceful societies, and more.

Volunteers are a vital part of our health service, providing care and support to patients, staff and the local community, and are more valued than ever with the current strains on healthcare.
