Research and Ethics at Ballarat Health Services

Ballarat Health Services and St John of God Healthcare Ballarat and partners are dedicated to ensuring that all research is conducted to the highest ethical and scientific standards, and are committed to the principle that research involving human participants be conducted in a way that protects participants, researchers and our organisations.

All research conducted at Ballarat Health Services is in accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines including the National Statement on the Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007), the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of research (2007), Department of Health Consultative Council for Human Research Ethics, Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) requirements and Ballarat Health Services by-laws, policies and procedures.
