Completing your Prevocational Doctor Post Graduate Year 1 at Grampians Health Ballarat will ensure you will experience hands on learning in a supportive and well supervised environment.

Intern Rotations Available
Grampians Health Ballarat offers 34 Intern positions at the acute and sub-acute sites in Ballarat in 2024.
Each Intern will complete five rotations that meet the requirements of the AMC National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training:
- General medicine

Changes to the Intern Match Process in Victoria for 2024
After wide consultation, the PMCV has finalised the changes for the Intern Match 2024. The changes focused on national alignment of processes and Victorian retention.
The changes include:
- Removal of Priority Group Rounds – offers will be made throughout offer periods prioritising eligibility categories – please refer to Intern Match Process 2024 document.
- Removal of Interstate Special Consideration – as a new Eligibility Category will be introduced. Candidate Eligibility Criteria outlined in Match Rules and Candidate Guide 2024
- Introduction of new eligibility category (Australian citizens or permanent residents and New Zealand citizens graduating from an interstate University who completed their year 12 schooling in Victoria).
- Candidates must preference a minimum of FIVE health Services and a maximum of TEN.

How to Apply
Applications must be made via the PMCV match. Grampians Health Ballarat will be participants in the Victorian Rural Preferential Allocation (VRPA) Intern Match process through the PMCV.
If you are eligible to apply for an PVD position, you must register with the PMCV. If you are not applying via the VRPA match, you will then need to apply to both the PMCV and to Grampians Health directly via the Mercury eRecruit Website
