Accreditation Recognises High Level of Care at BHS

Ballarat Health Services (BHS) has been awarded continuing accreditation with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS).

Chief Executive Officer Andrew Rowe said the accreditation was a formal recognition of BHS' consistent delivery of safe, high quality health care.

BHS Prescribes Laughter as the Best Medicine

Caring for the frail and elderly is all part of a day’s work at Ballarat Health Services (BHS). But sometimes we find laughter really is the best medicine – especially for their friends and loved ones.

That is why BHS’ Community Programs Carer Respite Centre and Direct2Care have joined forces to bring comedy show Alzheimer’s the Musical to Ballarat on Thursday, June 25. <

New Support Pack Puts Dementia Patients and Carers First
 
Ballarat Health Services (BHS) is rolling out a new information-gathering program to further support elderly patients with dementia and their carers.
 
The program centres around a custom-designed ‘Dementia Care in Hospital, Carers Support Pack’, which was created by BHS’ Improving Care for Older People team.
